I see the event runs from 8am-4pm.

Will they run off the electrics at 4pm, or can we stay and fly with the slimers?

Hey Grife, do you know if Dave Watson is going to make the trip down? I was thinking about taking my Midwest Extra too, and if he takes his we can have a gas/electric formation flying after 4

I wasn't able to get an answer on the pilot count either. Will you be attending?

Pilot Count: We've had anywhere from 18 to 50. All depends on what's happening with people. Gas prices are much better this year for travelling! The pilot counts we get allow people to a lot of flying in.

People ask about atmosphere. I try to run a very laid back event. We've done "contests" before within the meet, but people have tended to prefer to just fly for fun! So that is what we focus on. Just fly and talk. Well, and EAT. Our atmosphere is one of fun, discussion, lots of flying, and something we always want people to come back for year after year.

Pat, I would like to say thanks for the fun day of flying. My buddy Ryan and I had a great time. You guys did real well on making a laid back atmosphere. Very nice flying field, pretty smooth.
Jay Smith, it was nice to pit beside you guys also. Send that picture to Ben, hopefully you can make it work out better than the other guy using the pictures did for ya......lol....

A big thanks to all who turned out! Thanks also to all the first-class pilots and participants that help make this a fun event to CD. We raffled and auctioned over $700 worth of prizes, and that's not the "inflated" prices, rather real off-the-shelf values.

A club member counted about 75 planes on the field and commented that didn't include the ones still sitting in vehicles.

And in some years the percentage of attendees who were actual pilots would be 50-60%. This year upwards of 80-90% of all attendees were pilots who put planes in the air and kept the sky filled nearly the entire day!

Thanks again to all those who helped make this event possible!

Pat, this is Roger Wheeler..I am the one who lost the blue foam combat plane in the far beans. We checked the road and ditch on left side-no joy. Also looked at the grass area that is next to webster road. no luck. So if the airplane shows up-send me a PM ( I am on here almost every night) and we can arrange return (if I am amazingly lucky)

Hey Doc Thanks for letting Joe(my son) fly your planes

He's still talking about flying your planes. Smiling ear to ear. Couldnt believe
the trust you had in his flying skills. Now he wants a bigger AJ slick.

Thanks for coming to the show. We had a great time.
