Mark, my suggestion would be the Saito .62, here is mine turning a Bolly 13.5x6 on 15% WildCat Premium Extra.

I'm thinking about a 62 for my newer 80" H9 Cub. I also have the older version of the H9 Cub with a 56 and it flies great and has plenty of power.

Glue, the .62 is a very smooth engine, (like the .56) it also has very linear throttle response and even though the 13.5x6 is on the heavy side acceleration is very quick.

i just ordered the h-9 p-51d blue nose and was thinking about the fg-20 or the fa-125
does anyone know how the fg-20 holds up and if it has the same power as the fa-125?

Thanks I Tobor. It's probably going to be a little while before I can come up with the funds but as soon as I do that's the engine I'm going to get. I thought about the 72 and the 82 as well but don't need the extra power not to mention that I would have to watch prop clearance. If the 56 flies my older, heavier Cub the 62 should be more than enough, besides the 62 is less money than the 72 and the 82.

I just bought a Saito 115 and put it on a Yellow Aircraft .60 size Extra 300 spinning a 15x8 Zinger on Cool Power 30% heli. I am about 30-35 min. into the break in process so i am starting to lean out and reach higher rpms but on the last tank i ran it made a loud bang and quit, almost throwing the prop(lock nut saved it). Is that a backfire, and if so how would i stop it? Thanks, David

P.S. This is my first fuel engine of any type, so any help is appreciated.

Until broken in, Saitos frequently act as you describe. When you get more time on it, the problem will go away. 30 minutes is pretty early in the process. Be patient.

That's a definite sign that its too lean.

Yep, that and you have slightly more prop on it than you should for break-in. If the benchmark prop is a 15x6 then you should be breaking it in on less prop than that to alleviate unessessary load on the motor.

That combined with a lean moment = *pow*
