I mean just block and copy the link in your browser window on page 20 of this thread. Then go back to your original post, hit edit and add it at the bottom. I just thought it would be easy to find that way - like an internal sticky. I Tobor's break-in procedure is contained in those links that I posted in post #290 plus other related discussion. Linking the whole page will provide those links that have his procedure plus the discussion about it that is also on page 20.

Ditto...

I prop some in the 10,500 range for 3D but you have to start being careful of your rev's on the downlines...

So guys, I got my new Saito 82 today. Beautiful piece I must say. Getting ready to mount on Primo, but how do I reverse the carb? I might as well get some advice rather than plow ahead and mess something up? Thanks.

Eazy Peazy, remove the two screws that hold the carb to the backplate, swing the carb out to the side rotate 180 and put back. Make sure the pipe does not come out of the head, if it does, pull the pipe out all the way, put the O-ring in the recess in the head and slide the pipe back into the O-ring. The O-ring will not go back into the recess with the pipe in it.

what about that goofy pipe/muffler combo that comes with the engine?
can I run it without the baffle ?
will it increase the power or just add noise ?
does anyone make a cool header/pipe for these engines ?

Thanks. Got the carb reversed. Easy. Should I use Locktite on the ends of the Muffler connector pipe or are the locknuts all that is necessary?

I do recommend that you squeeze a good amount of oil into the crankcase (through the breather) before you run the engine up and that you lift the rocker covers so as to put a few drops there as well.
This for Xjet. What type of oil? I have a bottle of medicinal Castor oil. Should I use some of that?

I've probably never paid enough attention to this with my 2 strokes, but what position should the "top" of the prop be as you begin to feel compression? 11 o'clock? or something else?

U, the Saitos have a black grease already in place to lube the engine on the initial start up. The first oil that comes out of the vent will have black streaks like this. It scares some guys to death who don't know what it is.

About two o-clock on the prop flipping position..
