may you can google for the information and ask some expert for help. But actually the dead charge can not turn to life because it have no power inside. BTW,may be it is dangerous for you to save it because sometimes it will become bomb. Hope you can solve the problem ASAP.

hi. I was charging my 600mAh battery with 200mA charger designed for small batteries. I thought the lower the amperage the better but I guess I was wrong: it was charging whole day and finally some black crap got out of the battery. I measured voltage and it was 3.74V. Can anybody explain me what happened? I know that charging too fast is harmful for battery but why too slow caused that black thing to come out? or was it coninsidentally something else happened? that battery was ok and I was recharging it with 500mA and 350mA chargers and it gave me some flight time, not too good as battery was the cheapest possible ~2$ each.

A fully charged lipo is 4.1-4.2V.

Yours is 3.74V or about 30% charged.

This is the first report about "black crap" coming out of a battery. I have no idea what it could be unless the battery went into thermal runaway which would have released a lot of smoke and other possibly some black looking residue.

Charging at too low a rate is not a problem with lipo's. Many are charged at much lower rates then you were using.

I recharged couple of 250mAh small batteries with that charger. one is fine and another has a little hole where again a black crap coming out from. That charger is going to trash but I wish I could know what's wrong with it.

it's horizontal shaped with folding connectors (more compact then usual jst chargers. it has usb cable interface, the following is written on its bottom:

Model: KY-1008
Input: AC 110-250V 50/60Hz
AC 10mA
Output: DC 6.00V +- 5%
DC 200-330mA

Wrong charger. It's over charging the cells, I'm surprised one hasn't gone up in flames yet.

Unless, the cells you are using have a PCM built in to them. Show us the where the cells are coming from.

Lipo cells need a dedicated lipo charger .

This might work.

that charger is for mp3 player that has small LiPo 120mAh battery inside. it has red and green lights burning when charging and when it's done there's only green light. it stops when cell gets 4.2V, I charged small batteries many times with it, checked voltages and it was fine. This time I used it in my trip and it happened on one wall outlet so I wander if it can be smth wrong with that wall socket?

You shouldn't be charging a LiPo cell with that. I may be wrong but the charging circuit may well be inside the MP3 player. That just looks like a power supply and not a charger.

Get a proper LiPo charger.

I don't think that 8$ player may have some circuit inside, it's standard charger for small batteries. what is power supply? I think if the thing gives 250mA then it's what the battery needs. or is it because of 6V? anyway I shall not use it anymore as don't want to see that black crap again

Look at the specs that you provided. First line - Power Supply. It's not a smart LiPo charger, it's just a power supply and will surely overcharge a LiPo battery. Again, look at the specs - Output: DC 6.00V. Way too much for a LiPo cell.

hi there.. i need some help pls it looks like long but read it pls
i got my first plane 1 months or 2 ago, thunderbird gaunli glider ( hehe i feel u allready laughin )
it was in my local store and why not i thoughr, crash learn, and buy a new one ..
a real one not cheap shiit like that

but i didnt destroyed it( 2 hard crashes but thats all) so it came on my mind ( im planing for new one ) that this could be my experimental stunt secondary plane..
original stock consist of 380 kv motor, 600 mah battery nimh, 4 channel transmitter, 3 channel control plane
6 channel receiver, i dont know about esc ( i burned it so i need new one anyway)

im planning to upgrade for now the battery ( 850 mah 3s lipo), ubec or esc ( im lost here), motor 750 kv ( but not now, since i have 1 more stock one so i must burn the used one first, other will be the stock) and ailerons ( i will make it my own)

but 1 since the transmitter is 4 channel (and i have throttle, elevator, rudder)
will i have to make, like y extensions with 1 servo for ailerons ? or can i equip it with 2 ( i guess its stupid question), or take away rudder ( i guess y extensions its the answer)

2 i dont know anything about ubec and esc so dont know how to combine it...

3 can u check my items, i have them in cart for now, i need green light
- Turnigy nano-tech 850mah 3S 25~40C Lipo .. (bear in mind plane have just 500 g )
TGY-3 - Turnigy 2S 3S Balance Charger. Direct 110/140
X5UBEC - 5V 5A UBEC 2-5S Lipoly (7.2-21v)
TGY-1440A - Turnigy 1440A Servo 4.4g/0.8kg/.10sec (V.. ailrons servo

so does it clock toghter, i saw from battery leads another thing besides of plug for receiver ? and what is best way for ailerons, with same cuted material, balsa.. stiching, gluin, screw ?
