Sounds like a good plan to me Fleety.
I've liked the look of that hull since it first hit their site.
Looks like you're the guinea pig on this one.
You will keep us informed won't you.
All the best.

Hi there Paul,

I actually got the boat yesterday ,very fast shipping indeed- it was sent friday !
All packed well,no damage. Whatsoever.

Hull looks quite sharp and straight.
Good finish.

Will be looking over it a few times before attacking it with a drill....

Boaters are nice people.
Hi Fleet,

I've been looking at this hull since it first came out, as a replacement for our 25" Mono II hulls, that are getting too small for the brushless we installed.
As I act as financer for my son and myself, everything we purchase is doubled, so I'll have to take it slow, as the conversion from NiMH to Lipo's has already cost a small fortune...

The KB 45 looks like more than capable to move this hull, I plan to use a smaller http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...hless_Inrunner, which currently powers our 25" hulls.

I'll follow your build with interest!

Regards, Jan.

i have just started playing with a 580l same size as the kb45.
i reckon one of these in a 32" mono would make it scream

Thanks guys, you'll have to forgive my lack of pics,as I am using a blackberry....

I decided to epoxy in a 2.4mm ply transom doubler for added strength.
I have fitted the stinger strut, turn fins and rudder.
I am currently working on the interior layout before glueing the rails in.
I will be using the kit rails and motor mount ,plus adding an extra brace at the end of the motor for support.
It is one heavy lump of a motor. !

Hi Fleety.
A quick question if i may.
Does the bottom of the hull have a hook built in or is it flat all the way to the transom?
Would you be so kind as to run a straight edge over it & let us know.
Just curious.

I can happily say that she is flat from the transom, all the way forward to around an inch , aft of the inner strake.
This would be around half the length of the hull.....
I have scuffed the inside floor of the hull in preparation for gluing the rails in.
More info and hopefully some pics soon ...

Ok. No pics,as I can't seem to upload them with my browser.
I may have to get someone else to do this part for me...

I have glued the edges of the transom doubler and main framework in.
Motor mount is fitted.
Esc is double sided taped in place...
I fitted a water inlet and outlet. Both Aeromarine Laminates from O.S.E, which are very well machined.
Hose has been ran from inlet to esc, esc to motor, motor to outlet ...

Flex cable and liner cut to length and dummy fitted.
O.S.E stepped coupler fitted.
All seems ok. Pretty happy so far.

The motor will come out , so I can lay some fiberglass on the floor - up the motor framework for a bit more strength.

More to come.......... Racing my Xray T/C tonight though, lol.

Well now I REALLY want one, and I need another boat like a fish needs a bicycle. Looks good Fleety.
So Dee, when are we going to see you at the club? It's been a while. I trust the family is well.
All the best.

Keep it a light build and it would fly nice on a A.C. UL-1 motor or SV motor..

Boaters are nice people.
Well, in a few weeks I can join in the building fun, as we just ordered a couple of hulls yesterday.

I'm planning a floodchamber, so we can keep running after a flip.
The boats will be powered by 4S (due to regulations) and a 2300KV or 2700KV inrunner, on a solid 4 mm shaft.

Regards, Jan.
