P-51 B/C thoughts

You would need two canopy options. The original flat side and the Malcom hood.

The Malcolm Hood would probably be harder to make. I don't think that I would try a Malcolm Hood because I don't think that Princess Elizabeth, Shangri-La and The West By Gawd Virginian ever had the Hood because the were some of the early units to get the new D model.

You are correct, Princess Elizabeth, Shangri-La & The West By Gawd Virginian never had malcom hoods. Only a few guys in 352nd had them. "Patty Ann" flown by Jack Thornell, and "Starck Mad" flown by Wally Starck had them.

More jets than a carburetor

Got one of these. I also have the corsiar. I imemdiately flew it with an 1800 mAh lipo.

I noticed it has an 18 A esc, but the corsiar has a 30 A. Does the corsiar and mustang have the same motor?

Not yet. He did not seem too excited about selling canopy mods when he brought out the Gunfighter mod.

I think if more folks check out his canopy mods, they'd sell like hot cakes. I bought one, and it looks fantastic!!!

Does anyone know the specs of the stock motor? I am wondering if a bigger prop would be ok if I got a new ESC.

The motor is the Park 480 that comes in the T-28 and F4u. Both of them run bigger props but have a 30a esc. So the motor will handle it. You should be safe in a 30a or 40a esc with a 10x7e prop. If you have an esc with a brake setting...use it. Its a prop saver.

You should also consider the C rating on the battery, the higher the better but if you stay near the T-28/F4u props, the 20c should fly just fine.

Do you know if adding a f4u prop and bigger ESC makes much difference? From what I can tell since I have both, the mustang is already faster in stock form.

No problem Tram! I can do that one too! Give me a couple of days and I'll get it added.

No I don't, I bought a frame kit and built it. Put in a Turnigy 35-36c which is much faster than the stocker. It all depends on what you want to do.
