Who's up for building cartoon fattie planes?
Otay, so lets start the summer off with a 'toon build. It can be both profile and full fuselage. Any power system and size of plane you want. No limits to what you come up with.
I'm thinking to do a new Baby DR-1 fattie. Its one of my all time faves, and I'm still perfecting the fattie tilI get it right. Anyone one want to join in with a fattie build of their own? |

not true Dekan, Rusty . Im building errr..... not named yet , but no FF or Yak. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1058764 . Sanded, maindened, and Im painting it right now. I have more pics and maiden vid in PC, soon to be uploaded. It came a bit tailheavy, even with 2200 3s in the nose :-/...
I love fatties, but as I stated earlier, I cannot fly them. Too squirly for me, hard to trim out. Maybe Ill get into full fuse DR-1 after this build, I just love that plane. cheers, R. |

Perhaps you should check if GPW or Gene Bond has anything on the table bearing in mind their previous fondness for fatties e.g.

Count me in, I have been wanting to do a fatty for a long time now, and it is about high time I did it.
A quick check shows I have files drawn already in the cartoon fattie style for the A-10, F4 Cutlass, FR-1 Fireball, XB70, I15, Viggon, Concord, F105, Vigilante, and the Drakkon. I have 4 different fodlers of my vectored art files, and this was in just one of the fodlers, so i am sure I have a lot more. If anyone wants them let me know, I would be more than happy to email them. If you have a Vector File reader/program, you can also alter them to fit. They are all 3view profile style drawings. |

I'm messing about with a F117 in the 'Blue Wonder Jets'. Now on the MK.2. Problems with the whole thing flexing giving what I first thought was torque roll but what really is a torque twist resulting in left hand circles and not alot else!
Been trying a 'toon English electric Lightning off and on for a while. Maybe that will be my 'toon of choice.' |
