The airframe as I said is a modified T450 clone with a delrin cnc cut main gear, Scorpion HK-2221-10 (3000Kv) motor ( thanks to SidewaysLS4 ) , a Turnigy dlux 55A ESC , highly modified CopterX ridgid 4-bladed head , Carbon Hobby 425mm main blades , cut down (80mm) mCPX main blades on the tail , HD-1810MG servos ( cyclic ) , and HD-3688HB (tail) , and a Tarot ZYX FBL unit.

She runs a HS of 1540 with my Blade 400 tail speed up mod which give me a 1:5 tail ratio , this gives her plenty of tail authority along with the cut down 80mm mCPX mains on the tail.

Her AUW with two 4000mah 3s packs on board ( for correct CG only , it runs on 1 pack at a time ) is right at 5.75 lbs and she flies for 8:30 - 9:15 minutes per pack and like a dream too.

Enjoy the pics and feel free to comment or ask any questions you might have about it.
Great looking heli,
You have two packs onboard, why not connect both in parallel. This would give you an 8000mah set at 3S and could almost double your flight time. Since the extra pack is already onboard.... I do this for my 500 size Jayhawk, of course with two 6s packs..

Because I get 8:30 - 9:15 mintues on one pack plus I have adult ADD and can't stand to fly it no more than 8:00-9:00 minutes at a time.

Thanks for checking it out Jose.

I know the feeling mine can fly for 10 minutes but I keep it to about 7 minutes... my heli's can fly that long but my brain needs a break after about 7 - 8 minutes

How do you like those blades? I have a set home sitting on the bench that I never tried on my heli's.

They aren't exactly correct for the model as far as looks go with the swept tips, but as far as performance goes they actually do a great job.

As with many of the mass produced blade sets go they do lack a little in the balance department as they are far from being a matched set , it took some work to get them all correct in the CG and balance fields.
As I like to get my blades as close to perfect as I can especially on something like this heli where I don't want any unwanted viberations.

I might later try some of the Heliartise 425mm blades with straight tips , but the big factor for me going with these blades was that they only had a 8mm root or grip thickness.
Which I had to mill down to 5.5mm to fit into the 450 grips on the CopterX head.

Nice to see you got it finished!

No chance of getting it to balance with 1 battery with a custom forward mounting shelf?

I may make a full cockpit and interior for it at a later date but for now the 2 packs seem to work ok for balancing it up correctly and sence the rear doors are removable and front door open it is easy to get to the packs without removing the front canopy.

Well day one of the scale fun fly was a wash with rain and high winds. We did have about two hours to get some flying in. I only took my 500pro up with the winds blowing 20-30 or more. Of course it didn't stop some of the pro scale guy's from this forum from flying.

The fun fly came to a end. Today the winds were just as bad, but the sun was out.
No bad crashes and got to get some of the 3D birds in the air.
