Thanks, this time I think I'll drill the frame and put a 9257 in a extra pro holder I have sitting around. Will make it a lot easier to put back into the body.

Cool little Apache. I was stationed in Sunnyvale
for 5 years at the USAF Satellite Test Center and remember the winds. Used to fly at "O"dark thirty in the AM or right before sunset when the winds would go to zero knots. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the compliment Hoverup . It was pretty windy that day and I had the urge to fly something. There isn't a day during the summer when it is blowing on my block. Maybe one of these days on my day off I can actually fly it when it isnt blowing so hard. Thanks!

450 Size EC-135

I have been monitoring this topic for quite some time, and I was patient enough before I could post a few pictures of my EC-135. Enjoy!

P.S. More pics when airborne!

Thanks for the nice comments!
I am using the Align EC 135 fuselage which has seen several modifications.
As you can see the landing skid has been designed from scratch and the horizontal stabilizer has been extended to the right dimensions.
Some of the details, like antennas and so on, came with the fuselage, while some others like pitot tubes were purchased individually. Most of the stickers are self-made as my intention is to try and make it look like the original one. However at some point I came to realise that there is a limit with respect to what one can do with a 450 size fuselage.
With respect to the mechanics/electronics this is a Copter-X 450 with stock options, quad-blade head, futaba servos, micro-beast and a rush heli 7-blade fenestron. Currently I am working on the design of a speed up gear pulley in order to increase the rpm on the tail fan.

Greetings
CM

These are not the greatest pictures as they were done with point/n/shot cameras but here are some long overdue flying shots of my Jet Ranger. Century body, T-Rex 550E FBL, Skookum 720, Castle Ice 75, Align 6A Bec, bits and pieces from Vario, and controlled by DX18. The pics did need a bit of retouching so they were not completely washed out. Take care.

Don

PS: There is a tail strobe, but as luck would have it, the camera didn't catch it while it was on in the first and last pics, sigh.
