Sapac L39 Navy Scheme

Ok guys after playing with the Foam L39 from Sapac i decided to go Composite

I will be using the Sapac Air retracts and Pentium platinum 100 amp esc for 6s on the New Sapac mb-1 motor and 70mm fan.

So far this setup is good for 2300 watts @ 100 amps Should make this composite move

Comments and opinions welcomed

Here is a few pics of how the plane comes well packaged in the box

How big of a 6S pack will fit in there? Would you use two 3S packs? I have heard that 5S with about 3700-4000mah is a good option. JS-1400 and HET 6904.

I've had my eye on this one for awhile now, but decided togo with the K&A L-39. I do like the paint scheme on the Sapacs and from all I hear/read they are very nice airplanes.

Do you think the stock ducting will handle the 2300W, and is it worth carrying the extra weight of the extra cell for the performance you are gonna get out of it. Just some thoughts......

Yeah the jet will be out of sight in a matter of seconds with js1400/HET6904.
It's what I use.

If that set-up pulls 100 amps, I would want a t least a 120 amps ESC in there.

L39

I would strongly recommend glassing the center section and applying a bead of aeropoxy to all formers around and near the retract mounts. The wood is pretty soft. Good luck with the build, its really pretty simple.

go bobby go .
I've been running the mb1 motor with the stk fan in 2 jets for awhile now, awesome setup.on 6s 2350 watts, so fast can't keep it pinned for very long, on moday i managed to keep one pinned for 1 and a half circuts, how i didn't snap the wings off i'll never know, there has to be some serious g forces in the turns at those speeds.
