Somewhat funny but true story that could seriously go with that pic. My father is a career naval aviator (32 when he retired, the first time, now from a second job). He bought some ground on a little inlet called useless bay on Whidbey Island in Washington state. The reason it is called useless bay is that high tide it is better than 12 feet deep, but at low tide...... it is about knee deep. The best part is that when he bought the place the deed was drawn up at MEAN LOW TIDE LINE, so when the tide is out he has nearly ten acres. When it is in he has just over 5.

They built a bunch of condos right across the bay from him and he just laughs when the dingdongs bring a keel boat in there. First he will warn them they are on his ground, then he will inform them what the local salvage guy will charge to refloat the remains after it floods and sinks of the second high tide. He does have one guy who pays him anchorage fees on his sailboat (but he has it equipped with sheerlegs to keep her up), he figures that the moorage fee (I think dad says it is $50) for a 25 footer is pretty cheap at the price (although it takes him more time to get underway (to unrig the sheerlegs). I know that ain't useless bay, but it sure does look familiar! LOL

I'd say it's not too useless, he's figured out how to make a few bucks off of it.
