Alfa fan and 5 bladed rotor blade stretch....

Hi everybody! Just wondering if it's normal for the blades to stretch on the Alfa 5 blade rotor at 3/4 to full throttle and wear down on the fan case.. I'm running the jetscreamers little scremaer motor, 25 amp ESC and 2100 MAH 15c Lipo... this thing really screams!!! The wearing of the blade tip has caused a little bigger gap at lower speeds ... I know that real jet engines the compressor and turbine blades... even the 1st compressor fan blades.. will stretch a little... and rub .. just wondering if this is ok or is this not right .. maybe a bad fan rotor?? It is the blue Alfa 5 blader... thanks for looking!!

It's normal for the fan to stretch. Best thing is to sand the inside of the fan housing to give it clearance.

Its fine. Wear it in by using various power settings. If you want real power use it with a 30c 2200mah 4s pack and a 40-45 amp esc. It really goes on that setup well. It is one of the best setups for the alpha fan. If you go to 4s you will need to break in the fan again with those lipos. You will be in the 500 watt range give or take.

I'm running dons wicked 4800 5-blade fan and a 4s zippy R 2000 and a 4s TP Extreme 2200 and i'm at 45amp constant and around 650Watts per my e-logger. When I punch it from no throttle she's at 60amp or higher and the high 700 watts. Best speed i've got out of it so far is 105mph, but I believe it's got alittle more in it. This setup really moves the A4. Can't wait to get my mig done with the same setup.
