Hi, That's not a "late forties Elfin", it's a relatively recent "approximate" repro, in not very good condition and with wrong bits on it.

And here is another one (at least I think it is 'real'), ending tomorrow.

Yes, it is a real one. Shame the spinner is missing, but the engine looks well cared for...
Did you notice in the other adverts shown at the bottom of the page, there is an Enya 41 4-stroke diesel for sale. International buyers accepted for both engines.

He appears to be asking 2,200 for that Enya 41 diesel.

Wow! Perhaps GH could confirm your calculation...
I thought a new one cost between 350 and 400...
Good thing I'm hooked on my ED Bee!

Hi,

The asked price SEK 3300.00 equals GBP 306.00 or USD 488.00

It has been on auction several times now, no one meeting up....

Yeah... essentially, it's a fixed compression diesel, and cold climates are bad news.

Danish diesel

A few years ago I did find this extremely rare Danish-made Thorning-Bensen. It was in very good working order with nice compression but missing the fueltank. In between other things I decided it was time to make a repro tank for it and a spinner as well, the latter part will receive the two slots machined next monday when another part can be taken off the mill. Serial number of this engine is A2059 and I was told it dates from 1945.

Paid more for mine earlier this year, from Dave's Modelshop in Old Blighty. But then again it is a state of the art fixed compression diesel. Believe two of the 3 brothers Enya have deceased.
