Respectfully Bob, they're not particularly interesting... 6 plain bearing 2.5R plus 3 fairly late glows. The plain bearing 2.5R is a superb engine, but do you want six?

Not me...!...quoting the French soldiers at the bailey, in "The Holy Grail" movie:
"...already got one..!"....

------------------------------------------------------------

Something else:
I did throw in a bid, on an OTM Kolibri....and won it...!...something I didn't really expect...
It's yet to be shipped, so we'll see what turns up. It's said to be NIB though...
However, I have heard that there is some kind of gudgeon pin issue connected to the Kolibri....does anyone have some experience to share....?

I have one and it does have a gudgeon pin issue
The thing is that the gudgeon pin is too short and after a little running, it disloged from one side of the piston. Of course, the hole in the piston on the other side quickly became oval.
I guess the cure will be to have a longer and slightly bigger gudgeon pin and make the bearing holes in the piston a bit larger to acommodate.
In your case, check it before attempting to run it, and maybe fit small aluminium pads each end of the gudgeon pin to prevent it from moving sideways

Thanks for the info..!...yes, I will check it up thoroughly before running. Obviously such fixes are "nicer" to do before things get chewed up...

Jena 1 cc, propdriver issue...

Info needed, please...!...any German (or other) readers out there, having experience with the 1 cc sideport Jena diesel....?...or maybe having a diagram or drawing to share...?

Al R and I did disassemble our Jenas at about the same time - and we both discovered the same thing:
Whatever stops the propdriver from beeing pressed back into the crankcase, is gone...!
As seen on the pic, there's a groove turned just rear of the splines, and there's a corresponding recess at the back of the prop driver.
Should there be some kind of "heavy duty circlip", or possibly a pair of collets...?...or...???

Info & hints are welcome..!

With the engine disassembled, can you slide the prop driver along the crankshaft?

Does the prop driver bear on the shoulder which is formed at the base of the crankshaft thread?
