Reginald, that little Philtech looks great.
The powder coating looks similar to the last batch of Irvine engines (OS made). Just be careful not to chip it.
Is that a pipe or muffler?

A very sad Rivers....

...showed up at an advertising site.....maybe a 'spares engine' for someone...

2.5 or 3.5 ?

Maybe the insides are ok?
Needle bearings up front might still be ok.
Looks like it was filed down to fit a speed cowl (U/C).
The prop bolt on mine has too much of the threads worn/cut down, or the shaft was taped slightly over size, either/or, which makes for a very poor and loose fit.

It's a Rivers Silver Arrow MK 2 3.5 cc and I wouldn't mind owning it.
Any clues as to where it was advertised?
Cheers John

I did'nt chip it but someone else did a bit of frumbling probably due to some etching product ? No other paint damage I will touch it up with correct enamel paint. The silencer is hollow. Might sell it altough it may go along nicely with the twin four and six cylinder P.techs I have. I believe I also have the yellow painted version of that diesel.

Thanks Reginald. The powder coating really isn't a paint. I'll try the paint on mine to see if it holds up when hot/oily.
Have you posted your twin, four, and six cylinder P.techs?
I'm sure we'd all love to see each one from several different views.

Were the Philtechs actually powder coated? I always wanted one, but never bid on them.

Has anyone seen the large V12's they have been showing on the website for the last few years?

Reginald, those are fantastic looking engines. This is the first time I’ve ever seen them. What are the displacements? Any data on rpm and props for these little wonders? What’s the wire looking line (ie second picture). Where does the end go? (Surely not a temperature probe line!) Thanks for sharing the pictures.
John
