Hi everybody check this plane out at tell me what you think on a conversion.i e-mailed them to get glow r.t.f. and also projected wing load.It would make a nice change from the twin star and it could handle the wind better.I haven't run the numbers yet but i'm thinking 2 astro 05 geared(since i already have one.) thanxs stefanP

Check out the EAM web site for power system info. From the pictures it appears to be the same kit.

I think this is the same model as sold in the UK by Flair Products, see:

There's a review in the August issue of the UK "Model Fler" mag, not particularly complimentary. Their AUW was 7lb 4oz with 2x .26 4-strokes, the noseleg bulkhead collapsed on 1st landing ... repaired ... collapsed again on 2nd landing. There are references to "poor design" and "penny pinching from the kit manufacturer". It took them 25 hours' work to get it ready to fly

They said it was Chinese made, and also sold in Europe by Jamara. Apparently the version distributed by Flair in the UK is supplied with wheels and higher quality accessories.

Well the wingspan, wing area, length, & recommended power are all identical ... construction & colour scheme look the same too!

Apart from the C-160, all the other ARTFs sold in the UK by Flair match those on the site that StefanP originally posted above i.e:

Bird Dog, P-26, PT-20, P-40, P-51, P-47 (in 2 sizes), Edge, Giles (in 2 sizes), SU 31, CAP 232, Super Chipmunk.

That's a pretty big coincidence if they are not from the same source

I'm not rubbishing these kits, just saying that according to the UK review of the C-160 there are a few things that need sorting out. When you look at what you get for the money, they are good value.

For any UK people, this range of models should be at the Flair fly-in on September 2nd ... and I think visitors will get a chance to test-fly them. See:
