New Boat questions!(Dumas Deep Vee 40)

I saw this really nice Dumas deep vee 40 at my hobby shop and I wanna pick it up but I am a little worried. It was built by some guy a while ago but was never ran. It has an OS .46 in it and I was concerned if that was too much motor for that boat. It had some weight to it and the guy did a great job assembling it, but I just want to make sure this thing isn't overpowered. Thanks guys!

yeah it's water cooled. and it looks like its got a tuned pipe. The water pick-up feeds the head and passes by the exhaust as well. It isn't a wet exhaust.
