Changing from Manual to Automatic mode (Imax B6, Bantham B6)

I'm the owner of a Imax B6 and quite happy with the charger itself. As I'm also planning to charge my older NiMH I was looking through the options, but unfortunately I just can find/use the "Man" mode.

According to the manual I should be able to switch to the Automatic mode, which acts a little bit different. Unfortunately I can't figure out the way how to change to the automatic mode.

According to the manual it should be a simple press on the "next" (or "prev") button, but I just can switch between "charge", "discharge" and "cycle", but I don't know how to change it from "Man" to "Aut".

I can even see a picture of the "Aut" mode in the manual, but unfortunately I can't find out how to change it.

This also applies to the NiCd program, which should be quite the same .

Any instructions?

Best regards

On my GT Power A6 charger I have to press the "Enter" button to start the current setting blinking and then I press the "next" and "prev" buttons at the same time. That toggles the display from "Auto" to "Man"

Thanks, but it doesn't work for me .

Even if I press those buttons simultaneously I just can change the current, but not from "Man" to "Aut", as it should be possible according to the manual .

Are you pressing the "next" and "prev" buttons while the current setting digits are still blinking?

Ignore. Duplicate post.

I tried both, pressing them while current is blinking and beforehand, but it doesn't work in both cases.

Sorry, then. No more suggestions.

Hey, I know the thread is over a year old, but I have the solution, so I figured I might as well answer it in case someone stumbles upon this thread in future.

So, to change from manual to automatic mode on the imax B6, when you are in the "Ni-Cd CHARGE" (or "Ni-MH CHARGE") mode, press enter. The current should start flashing.

To change between manual and automatic mode, press the INC and DEL buttons (i.e. the two buttons in the middle, the ones you normally use to increase or decrease the current) at the same time. It takes a bit of practice and trying, because if you hit one of the buttons slightly before the other one, it won't work.

So try a couple of times to hit the two buttons at EXACTLY the same time, and HOLD THEM BOTH DOWN until the display changes. When that happens, release them quickly (if you keep holding them down, the display will slowly alternate between manual and automatic mode).

Hope this helps!
