No herb this is a new one, the old 730/Tango one is long gone. And yeah It's a short stubby plane so it's just not gonna be a rocket, but the old one flew mediocre at best with 1800watts and almost 7 pounds with the 730. I figure the midi should give me same thrust installed but more velocity and lighter AUW. So maybe it'll fly ok but be cheap and light. Just not gonna waste a 51 on it! haha

well yeah they always seem to take off and climb very well! that's the big advantage to a fuse and wings that make so much lift in a light package. With an AUW from just over 9 pounds to 10.5 there pretty easy to power almost 1to1 with anything these days.

wings dont make much lift for a fuse when they are 90 degrees from the horizon.

That was his Century Jets sport Hawk, not an AMD one.

Bit blocky, but it was a great flyer I seem to remember.

Barry,

You gonna make it to E-Jets. Would love to see one of these fly on a midi...especially around 10 pounds.

I should still be making it to e jets but since theres no way I could bring an oodle of birds with me I'll have to choose wisely what does make it! I'll get gobs of vid of it for sure though, but got a lot better things to show off if I'm paying to ship stuff around.

Hi Kevin

Great Job......and I want to replicate your plane EXACTLY! (Maybe with a LITTLE more scale detail! :-) )

Would would be great is a ton of build pics and detail if you have this on hand. My mind is a bit boggled with all the choices on fan and motor combo's so it would eb great to go with a "field tesxted" solution, particularly since you have been so impressed.

If you can give me some component and set-up detail thjat would be great.

I got the AMD hawk kit 2nd hand without even the original instructions but immediately thought that this would be ideal for EDF. To date, although I have flown 40 and 60 scale prop e-planes, the biggest EDF's that I have flow have been foamies.....so this Hawk is a big step for me!!

Thanx in advance for the info!

Regards

Keith
