Camera for FPV - Here is a really good, high quality, and tiny camera for FPV flying

Here is a very high quality camera that is really nice for FPV flying, it is very tiny and handles a bright sky with dark ground very well. It is known as the SN777 at hobby wirelesss which sells it for 150.00 dollars

The secret is that this camera is really a KPC-VSN500NH KT&C and can be bought for 75.00 dollars from many security camera venders such as:

http://www.123securityproducts.com/kpcvsn500nhb.html

Many people have asked me about cameas recently, and this camera seems to outperform much larger and more expensive cameras for FPV Below is a demonstration FPV video of the SN777 camera on YouTube. As always on you tube, the quality will be HORRIBLE unless you click on the yellow title on the top of the video, which takes you directly to YouTube, and then click on the " HQ " botton at the bottom right of the video.

Well, I'm partial to the KPC-VSN505PHB myself, just as small, same resolution, same imager, same DSP, but 5V, hence far easier to supply power to than a 12V camera.

Cheers,

Sander.

Raphael,

Not sure, I've been buying them direct in lots of five or so, just for my personal use. Here's the link to KT&C's product page for this camera and here's some unedited sample footage as well. And yes, I dislike 12V cameras as the only one worthwhile is the Pixim based, all the rest are not worth the hassle as there's 5V equivalents that work just as well.

Okay, since KT&C only sells to businesses I'd be happy to organize a group buy (I have my own electronics consulting firm) I'll ony charge an additional fee for packing and shipping costs, but will not make a profit on the actual cameras, any takers?

Cheers,

Sander.

Well, of course it is, this is raw footage directly from the DV camcorder, hence interlaced.

Not sure, I'd first need to know how many to order, then I can get a price quote. But I've paid around $75 for this camera, hence add ~$15 in shipping and $90 seems reasonable.

Sander.
