My Widowmaker build is almost done! might get to maiden tomorrow! BTW to whoever hasn't built a Widowmaker, but has built an assassin, you don't have near the room to bury your electronics as you do in the assassin!

packing tape under the lam, over the lam... either way should work just fine. Most people seem to do it after the lam, but not for any specific reason I've heard. Probably just easier to finish the build entirely (including lam) and then do your design when it's all done.

The packing tape won't stick to the foam but it sticks well to the laminate that sticks to the foam. I use the packing tape on the outside of the laminate.

Widowmaker done! RTF. Got a question for a more experienced CTH wing builder & flyer. Look at the 2nd & 3rd photo's, look at my setup placement. is it normal to have to add 1 1/2 oz's of lead to nose to get it to balance at 6.5" mark?

Thanks Bluhammer! I just dropped a little tail weight by cutting off some long motor mount screws, and was able to remove 1 of the 1/4oz weights? I just weighed it(widowmaker) and it weighs 17.5oz's, thats with pack on board. had to add weight to the nose of the Assassin also? it a little on the heavy side weighing 18.4oz's with battery. but after trimming and a few flights now, it flys like a dream! was going to maiden the WM today but the wind decided to gust to 25 to 30 today

I would almost send you a female XT60 connector for free on that ESC on the Scythe! That would scare me! because I would cross polarity one day for sure with the bullet connectors!
