I bought 10. Considering I used to pay $70 for the Razor 400 we used to use I didn't spend as much on 10 as I used to spend on one.

I Ned to add winglets to my assassin to comply with racing rules for my club. I've been doing a lot of reading on the subject, but still don't know what kind of design will minimize drag. The only requirement is that the must be at least 1in above the wing (in any one spot) . What have other people done? I'm making out of balsa and will coat with ultracote.

Yeah- so if you are only adding them to fulfill the requirement (stability is not an issue) keep them as small as possible. Triangular (look at the fins on a Zagi). Like a 30 60 90 triangle... swept front edge, as little area as possible...

The fin will work best if you keep it farther back on the wing. If you cut a triangle that is back by the elevons you will get the most stability. Shape is not as important as size and it will be more stable with a little toe in at the front.

The thin win Widowmaker will accelerate faster if you are racing and is the same wing size as the Assassin.

I like the new Nano-tech 3s 1300s

There are some others listed on the shopping list at our web site. I have also had a bunch of requests for a link to the holographic tape source which is on the same list.

I second the Nano Tech 1300's. They are a bit lighter and thinner than the Ziippy 1300's which makes them perfect for the Assassin.

The chemistry is also different and they are less likely to puff or burn.

looks like they are currently out of stock at HobbyKing. Just buy a bunch of them when they come back in stock... I usually grab a few with every order. Use them as fillers to round out the shipping costs.
