Answered in other threads on the board. However, the quick answer is that pin 3 provides the throttle channel's servo signal output for use with a third-party brushless ESC.

Yes. Now if only PZ/HH's release schedule would keep up with my micro build schedule. The AR6400 has a lot of promise for the ~1.5 oz birds I've been building lately.

No, it doesn't. What it's providing is the signal needed to control a separate brushless ESC. If you want to base a brushless setup on the AR6400, you will need to provide a suitable ESC, like this one.

It requires no soldering to attach a brushless esc. (Or any other ESC)

Ground + signal at the 3 pins (don't connect the + lead from ESC to RX at the 3 pin header)

send power to the RX via the mini LiPo connector.


Soon we may see a brushless controller with the correct connections already on it that takes 2S LiPo for the motor and sends 3.5V to the RX's power connection.

Its just a matter of time till its made...
