I would like to thank all of our club members and our visitors to Quarry Field for a great Flag Day Fun fly, I only wish I had not had to work this morning as I would have loved to have been there sooner !! That being said a special thanks to the volunteers that make these events possible and set up everything in advance and worked in the rain afterwards to take everything down. Hope to see everyone back out at quarry field soon, and for those of you who did not attend you missed a perfect morning of flying and I am attaching the photos to prove it. Well I have a few airplanes to fix, so until next time I see you try to keep the dirty side down when landing and have fun!

Not much more to say than this photo indicates about the thermal flying last Sunday. New club member, Eric "Ich Bin", gives the thumbs up on the hat sucker above. What isn't shown in the pain of suncreen sweating into his eyes while Cricket and Ryan help keep's his model in sight. It was a great day flying on the winch and handlaunch with many flights 30+ minutes. Life conditions like today, ie "stupid lift", only come around a few times per year.

Thanks for the help/backup Andy. I posted the news of my new bird on the wrong page. Oh well. Anyway, like you said, the maiden went well. This Giles (G-300) is a real thoroughbred-fast and capable. I'll repost the pics i did earlier.
