Yes, the Pitts look like psychedelic parrots. It's just a matter of personal taste. They look better decluttered. Less is more. SVrider58: Same thing happened here, try to reload the red scheme in the game and it will come out right. There was one guy who did this in FS2004, make models you could see partly through and they looked fantastic in the sim. Why don't you have a go at it? (Cliff Presley's T-6 designed for FS2004).

Then make your own schemes and don`t load down my "psychedelic schemes"!

Do you know, how much work such a scheme is? My schemes are all leaned on original planes and i am very petty by painting a scheme. For example: In the scheme of the Pitts from SAY96 are some mistakes, which i don't make. But i don't will belittle his work. He begins with painting and i am painting for years, first for race sims and now for Phoenix!

Well, it wasn't about your skills as a repainter, but about original design. Calm down. I'm trying to get into it. Yes, it's not easy!

I have some problems with that myself. I usually change around the schemes a bit and then it works again.

Phoenix RC Heli Schemes

Hi,

I am new to the site. I am very interested in creating RC Heli Schemes from scratch using Phoenix Creator or Photoshop or both. Have no idea where to start. For those of you who create Heli Schemes is there any way you could give me a push in the in the right direction concerning information. This includes creating the zip file so that individuals can download my works of art. Even if it just taking a course at my local college. I don't have a clue of where to start!

Any advice would be appreciated!!!

Thanks,

Chris

Welcome

Hello Chris, welcome to this site!
It is not so easy to paint your own heli schemes!

but i will try to explain a little bit:

You need the Phoenix Creator! Open the Phoenix Creator, then go to file/new/Model scheme/your helicopter you will paint/ select that one.
Then go to Tools and click on Export to external editor, the files will be saved as bmp. files in c:\users\your name\Documents\Phoenix RC\Projects.
These files you can load into Photoshop. When you have finished your work, you can save the file also as bmp.file, then you go to Phoenix creator and click on Import from external Editor. Now you will see your painted model in Phoenix Creator. Finally you click on File and then on Export and give your model a name and a last click on the export button and you can fly your painted model in Phoenix! That's all! Try it, learning by doing!

I have painted many helis and loaded it up to this site. Click on this link and you will find all my attachments that i have ever done!

regards Ulf

and because i had a little bit time i have painted two more P47 schemes!
Enjoy to fly!

@ Fatgadget: Hope that they are not to coloured for you!
