Precision Aerobatics 58" Extra MX Official Roll Out Thread **New Video**

Ok guys,

We just had a wonderful day at SEFF! Had tons of flying, a couple of demos and, oh yeah, we unveiled the new Extra MX!

More on this in a little bit but here are the official specs.

58"
Thrust 50
Quantum 60
VTS Digital servos
6s (2x2200 PA packs)

The prototype is 62 oz AUW.

This is the most immaculate PA bird yet! Fiber fusion is a really nice fit on a plane this size and it is STIFF and LIGHT!

More to come tonight but for now, Dan and I are going to go fly the addiction in the pool at the quality in.

More MX pictures

Pool flying was cool. Got video too, but I'm afraid you're going to have to wait. Don't have the horsepower to do anything with it on the laptop. Here are some nice pictures of the MX we shot on Wednesday from maiden.

Enjoy!

Well, initial impressions are "slap your momma freakin great"! The power is out of this frighin' world unbelievable! Wing loading is nutz! I think it is going to be the monster that we have all been waiting for!

Initial thoughts: push out, waterfall, basically all elevator maneuvers are top of the food chain. Power is rediculous! Rollers, tumbles, spins are an improvement from the smaller Extra. Construction is the best PA has done yet!

Dan and I will get you more on the flights later. We have only had a few flights with it and have been ordered not to fly it until the demos are done. So, tomorrow, after the demo, it is game on and we will really wring it out and post a full flight report.

The pressure is on, demoing a plane with hardly any stick time at all on it, tall order!

But you guys can do it

Oh can you tell us about how many amps that setup draws?

and a bit more about the esc, does it have a switching bec?

Thanks on the pics Aflipz. As for the ftp, gotta keep you coming back for more, right? Upload on the hotel wireless is painfull. Just posting pictures is painful. Gotta downsize photos from the Nikon, then it still takes a long time to get them up. I did post more photos from the PA tent and the SEFF experience here:

25 pictures took about half an hour to upload. We're shooting HD and getting good stuff. It'll be worth the wait!

Got to see this baby in person at SEFF. Great flying by Chris and Dan for sure for the noon Demo.

From what I can tell, looks like another great addition to the PA lineup. Chris did a monster job showing her off at the noon demo. Congrats!
