twin 40mm edf build help

I am currently building a sinlge foam 40mm EDF F-35 but i want to start a build on a twin 40mm edf F-14 soon. The F-35 is my first attempt at a scratch build.

I am wondering if using balsa for construction is lighter than foam.

My F-35 is going to weigh in around 75grams for the airframe using 1/4" foam sheet. It rugged as heck but a bit heavier than i want. My fans put out about 350grams thrust combined so the model can be decent sized as long as i can keep the weight down.
