Scale 727-200

Hello to everybody!I started my project building a 3 meter-span Boeing 727-200.Just received plans from AMA,David Ramsey 727,scaled them up and start......thinking to many mechanical sistems that I want to put inside, flapses, slats, landing gear, opening bays and all kind of stuff to make him as scale as possible.I readed and admired JB-s DC 9 thread and it will be my guide in all my work,as much as my skills will allow that. So,my first big problem is about main landing gear.Does anybody knows how it works?Because i think on the retract motion it swings somehow in a way that it's not certain for me.All advices and drawings will be welcome for me.Thank you everyone

Are you going on with your 727 project?

I found this video of a 727 some 20 years ago:

Ok guys,i'm almost finished front section for molding. What are you suggesting to do?fiber-glass or vacuuming an 1,5 mm ABS sheet?

well....first I made crossections in Corel, then cuted them from 30 mm blue foam, glued together, make a jigg, sanded at shape, covered with automotive spackle, sanded, primed and paint with 2 layers of water-based auto-paint,then polished and mold is ready! If you want to learn more ,take a look at JB's DC 9-21 thread. He is a master in modeling,he built a masterpiece. And it's not the only one,a lot of guys on this forum are masters!just take your time and "digg" deep!

The main gear just swings inboard, nothing fancy.

Thank you,Rotarywing
So,my first attempt for making a mold for the front section failed. The mold sticked in the ceramic form, and breaked apart.
All my work is gone. So,will start building all the plane in classic way: balsa ribs
Also will be covered in 2 mm balsa sheets
Just finished the plans in corel for front section
Also ordered laser-cut parts
Just arrived yesterday.Nice worked and cheap
Couldn't wait at that moment, and started the work!

Thanks
Well, the plans are made by myself,I am not going to sell them or making a pre-cut laser kit
This is only by myself, because 727 was my dream to fly it,(I was military pilot-flewt Mig 21's)
Anyway, the progress is slow,I own an auto-repair garage, and it's a lot of work to run
But I will be proud if someone will build this beauty after my plans,so I will share with everyone who want them
The single problem is that I draw them very slowly and it will be a long-time progress
Of course, anyone can 'pass-by-me' and compelting them in front of mine,no heart-feelings ,and any suggestions are welcome
Happy building!

And for not making miss-uderstandings:
I have also David Ramsey plans ,but they are only for guiding me in my work
I started from a three-view and work it in Corel Draw for making my plans
These are an exemple:

Yes,but only the third one is at 100% size, for laser-cut of course
The first two are scaled-down a little bit,for saving them as pdf's
I will manage a set of three-views and front section, maybe this week, and I'll put them here,so everybody can take them and scale them-up at any size
Cheers!
