I use clear monokote on the bottom and you can't even see it. I like Monokote because it will last for the lifetime of the plane, and it won't attract dirt like tape does.

For me it depends sometimes top sometimes bottom depends on scheme...this plane I'm doing top....as I have the colors to match....gives it a clean look...if the top side scheme has lots of colors I do the bottom then usually with clear ultracote

I seal the bottom only. I prefer ultracote but am going to try one plane with monokote I think.

Hey everyone...

So I thought I'd report on how these MKS DS95 servos are working. So far they've been awesome! They're very sharp, very speedy, and incredibly precise. I think they're THE servo to have on this plane. With this being said, I've only had about 12 flights on my Extra so far so I don't think I can recommend them yet, simply because they haven't yet stood the test of time. Once I've completed 100 flights, I'll come back and report on any gear slop, failures, etc. Once they've gone through this rigorous testing, then if they pass then I think I could safely recommend these!

Awfully expensive servo for a 48" airframe. For that price they should outlast the airframe for sure..

Wow. Those specifications on the DS95 are awesome. But, as Liberty10 says, there is a cost.

And to think I was complaining about the price of 7245s on a 60" airframe.

Hopefully so, haha! I'm happy if I get a year out of an airframe so these should last that

They are incredibly expensive as you say. That being said the quality, resolution, speed, torque, etc. is a quite a lot better than the 65MGs. Whilst I'm not going to recommend them yet due to lack of testing, if I get 100 flights out of them then I'll be happy! I'll do a report fairly soon
