Yeah, I had already done so... Thanks.

Can't say if it worked cause the plane crashes all the time due to unexplainable reasons...

Gonna build another one instead.

make sure you do the test
Push the tail right and the rudder should move right then back to center (Rate mode). if not, your gyro needs reversing.

"unexplainable reasons", there's always a reason unless you have a voodoo curse on you.

Gyro works correctly, thanks.

Haha I should have said "unexplainable by me, given the time I want to put in this lousy plane"!

Maybe I just can't fly planes... I will be able to tell once I get my 2nd + 3rd planes, built and delivered respectively.
Also, it may be tha fact that I fly/fix/troubleshoot alone (well, just with you forum guys!) and haven't joined a club.

How can I hook up the Gyro to this setup? Do I really need the gain connection? I seem to recall on helis you can set teh gain and then discoonect the wire. Is that true? Please let me know as I am very anxious to get this gyro setup since the PC 21 has a nasty torque roll on takeoffs due to a 5 bladed prop.

Thanks!!
Not a total solution but if you could live with having your flaps deploy with your gear you could get that channel back.

Try something more forgiving like a Dynam Hawksky.

Excellent suggestion. Thanks - why did'nt I think of that

This plane will always need flaps.... great. I will do this and let you know how it goes.

This new vid shows how to set up a gyro on a Spektrum DX6i.
It shows using the Gear switch as well as the Flap switch

Hey all, I need help on orientation on the blue arrow nano gyro. The instruction pamphlet is useless, saying install "perpendicular" to the fuselage. I want to use it on my aileron channel. Could someone please upload a quick diagram or something showing the top label and orientation of the writing? A pic would be nice.

Thanks.

I'm not familiar with your gyro, but in general you need to place a gyro on the "plane" that your aircraft is rotating, when the control you want to stabilize is used.

If you want to stabilize ailerons, that is, aircraft ROLL, the gyro should be looking "forward" (flying direction) or back. If the aircraft had a pilot, the gyro's top label should be parallel to his chest.

Hello doll of you again I recognize so many names of people who have helped me on this. I've question does the Gyro override the rates set up in the tx?

I mean if I have things set up where the ailerons only move up and down 3/8 of an inch in the Gyro wants to take them to half an inch can it do that?

Thank you,
DJ
