No, mostly Gorilla Glue and tape! It still flies great after 3.5 years of rough service.

It's a fairly broad beam antenna off of an old X-10 system.
With a 1 watt TX it works quite well even for inverted passes.
You're right, though. It really shines when used at altitude.
