Michigan fun float.

Michigan Scale Model Boat Club had our first fun run of the 2009 season today. Nice sunny day, but a little cool, some would say cold, and good breeze at times. The location was Heritage Park in Canton MI.

Wish I could have been there Jay! Been thinking about Michigan, as I actually had to put on a jacket one day here in Calif.

But now you have to tell us about some of those boats! Whose lumber boat is that?

Wow!! Heavyhauler that looks like fun! Is there a schedule of fun floats that I could put on my schedule? Living in Clawson, I would be willing to drive to Canton to share the fun. I would have liked to float my new workboat.

Jay,

What is that 1800's Laker? Couldn't make out her name, very sharp. I've got plans for a boat very much like that one, the Sidney O. Neff. On my list of things to build some day.

Heading up to Menominee tomorrow to fitout the Victory/James Kuber for the '09 season....

Great pics and nice boats. That lumber hooker is a beauty. Our club has the plans for the Huron Brave in our archives. Chuck Steffen makes a glass hooker hull so I may have to seriously consider one someday.

That run site you guys have looks good. Our club will kick off the season next Sunday when we install our dock. Lets hope the mercury keeps moving upwards and the water stays soft.
