The second is the "classic" spit that you see in books, the first pic looks more like camo. I'm between those two.

Joe, sorry to hear about your Dad...
Glad you've had the time with him and it is a tough thing to go through. My dad's not got cancer but he's '79 and in bad health and expect it won't be too long before I have to face it as well. Hang in there and lean on the family and friends.

Beautiful Spitfire you've build.

You know the PRU models did one in a photo pink!
That would be different and any women at the slope would respect you for all the crap you'd take for it from everyone else...
The pink works very well as camo at high altitudes in the morning and you'd be surprised how well it works in general... Kinda of a light pepto pink...

Joe,

This is the site I use for 3-views http://www.airwar.ru/other/draw_fw.html. It has just about anything you could want. You don't have to read Russian, but if you get to their home page, it helps! And if you are still looking for a paint scheme, this page will give you about 500 different ones from every country that flew the Spitfire http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww2/f/52.

Working out the details before the 1/4 scale

These first couple will be a great learning process for the 1/4 scale to come.
I am not what you would call a real scale guy but TFLG keeps on me I will come around one of the years. I would like the 1/4 scale to look like the real deal.

Looking good Joe,

This bit should not be there though. That area should be the fuselage only. The blister just goes over the manifolds.

Ouch

Yea Brian, your right but you took to long to post the picture of the exhaust. I had this already built and now the plane is sportn them. This plane is to make mistakes on so I will remember not to do them on the others to follow. But thanks for your info.

Went to Banos and flew with the scale weenies. Having 7 scale ships, I guess I might even be a scale weenie.......

Joe,

I really like the talk of the 1/4 scale Spit. How did you blow that 3 view up without it pix elating?

Kinkos has a big scanner that you can tell what scale from your picture that you have and it spits it out.
