Man! I Love this plane! I had a ball flying the Cub. Flew it all day, then turned my lights on, and flew til late. Only used 3 2200Mah 3s, and 3 recharges. Very slow and stable, even with just RET! We had a WW2 Cosair pilot show up (91yoa) and he had a blast. He was totally fasinated by electrics, and then my lights blew him away. Shoot! I only flew my EDF and my glow Spitfire once each. Great little flyer, Now gotta build another with more lights and maybe a drop device. Charger

They are great! I started my second as my first has some bumps and bruises from me trying to be a stunt pilot. I did add ailerons to mine and love it, hands down my favorite plane! How are you doing you lights? , kinda got me thinking bout lighting my new on up.

Used this calculator to get the resistor values-http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz, then got most of my resistors and LED's off Ebay. Some I had to get from Radio Shack. Use 24g wire and very fine solder. Use a 5g servo with thishttp://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2049719, glue switch to servo on Ch5 (Gear), powered by 9V, 10 LED's. flip switch "lites on" flip again "lites out" I put my led's in wing facing forward (inside the fold) and 2 in the former at the back to lite the back of the fuselage. Then mounted a 10mm 28,000mcd in the nose for landing light. It glows very nice, and visible for a good way. Charger

Hi Charger,

Glad to hear you like your Cub. I'm back from my work trip to Columbus OH. I have not had a chance to work on any planes in more then a week now We're having more rain here right now, but maybe the weekend will give me a chance to try and fly some.

I registered on this site because of this thread.
Yesterday I started to build Cub. Printed plans (A4 tiled) are aprox. 7 % smaller but i think it wouldnt take affect to flying characheristic. I purchased the electronics from HK like Blue FFF sugest, except of motor because it was out of stock. I ordered KDA 20-28 M instead.
Thats all for now...

amater total,

Well let me say welcome to RCGroups and thanks for your interest in building the BB J3 Cub. I'm sure your slightly smaller Cub will fly just fine with the motor you purchased. Please let me know if you have any questions during the build and post some pictures of your Cub if you can.

Litlle bit disorderly in our living room this morning. My wife was at work luckily...

After hard work with necessary help of my sons Bruno and Luka the result is not bad at all

My experemintation about fixing servos looks like picture shows. Thin depron (Arbiton) box. Pulled out for take pic, not right position, of course...

Thats all for today.
