Royal EVO to EVO Pro upgrade

I hit my link to the thread about this and it came up invalid so I thought I'd start a new one.

How is MPX coming along with the US firmware upgrade? I'll be at the Toledo show and could easily bring my EVO to drop off at your booth.

There is no updated news yet on when we'll receive the software for this upgrade. Also we do not accept any product at shows for service.

Will there be any samples of the Pro and 2.4 modules at the show?

That's too bad I was really hoping to see the new toys. I love my EVO and am trying to wait patiently but it's kinda like a kid waiting for christmas morning.

Oh well, my wife keeps telling me patience is a virtue.

Thanks for the info Brendan

I just got back from Toledo and wanted to say thanks to Mike for taking the time to not only show me the new Hitec radio but also discuss the EVO.

Now I'm torn on whether to sell my EVO and buy the new Hitec or wait a couple more weeks for the upgraded firmware.

Unfortunately, we've all been waiting a couple more weeks for the upgrade since fall. Seems pretty much as if MPX has left us out. I love my Evo but not sure if I would replace it with another due to the lack of support from Germany. Hitec does a SUPER JOB with their end (can't say I know of any better than Hitec) , but they take the heat for the same lack of support from the motherland.

Mike, are the MPX evo transmitters for 2.1 going to be available in the U.S.? If so, when will they be available?

Upgrade or no upgrade, the evo is a great radio. Personally, I wouldnít trade the evo just because an upgrade isnít available yet. Regarding 2.4, Iíve been using xps for almost two years now with no problems (lucky?). If mpx decides to sell 2.4 boards/modules in the US, Iíd looking into switching.

I upgraded my Evo to 2.4 the day XPS announced their module for Evo and have never had any problems. I may or may not upgrade to Evo Pro unless I can find something that I can't do with my Evo 9 that was one of the first imported into the US.

I've heard that there is "no word" about the Pro upgrade but I'm curious to see what the response was after someone at MultiplexUSA inquired about the upgrade to Multiplex Germany. What was Germany's response? If no one can give a date when it will be ready can anyone at least explain to the customers why there is a delay?

Is this just a US problem? Do we have the option to send our TXs to Germany for the "US/ES" Pro update? Are there any other options? Can someone at MultiplexUSA post contact info for someone at Multiplex Germany for the rest of us to e-mail? Perhaps they need to hear it first hand from the customers that we are anxious to get the update.

Thanks,
Dave
