thanks but I was asking about the receiver in the plane

Silly me, misread what you were asking. The Rx is powered just like you would any other receiver...normally for a 5v Rx battery/ESC BEC/External BEC. The older Rx's weren't rated for 6v, the newest one is. I'd stick with a standard 5v input just to be on the safe side.

Same setup as per DX7 plug. It works on the DX7 but not DSX9. Power to TX and
the light seems fine but just cant get it to work. The motor just goes beep beep beep. It works good when with my DX7. Anyone can help on this?

@Mer78
Try sticking a dummy plug into the trainer socket. That's what I have to do on my 9503.

That is the way I did my 9503 too. I used a male servo plug coming out of the radio battery compartment and put a female servo connector on the DL. I then took an old pair of headphones and cut the connector off and shrink wrapped it with the extra DL wire out of the way. To use DL I set my model number and turn the radio power switch off, plug the servo connection in and plug the headphone jack into the trainer port and wait for the DL green light.

So I just received my Futaba 8FG Super, which I ordered specifically to use with my DragonLink. I was disappointed to find that the DragonLink will not work with the Futaba in 12-channel mode. I can only get 8 channels to work.

So, besides the 9X transmitter, is there a list of transmitters that can take advantage of all 12 channels of the newer DragonLink receivers?

Thanks,
Tux

Yes, ground pin is the one closest to the PCB. V+ is the middle. Signal is the one furthest.

The newest 12 channel has end pins. In this case, the top of the board is the side with the SMA connector. The pins on top are Signal, middle is Voltage, bottom is GND.

This thread is nearing 1000 pages, which is awesome for us, but not so awesome for people looking for information about Dragon Link, there is just too much to digest. So we are moving the Dragon Link thread to the new Dragon Link thread, click on the link below. John will be closing this thread shortly, but we will contine in the new one as always
