Bill Evans Simitar series
Hi
It looks like not much people out there knows the Simitar series of Bill Evans. I have ask if any body knows the airfoil used on the simitars. Two persons reply and only one thinks it is a NACA 23012... not so. I have check this out... this is not the one, the L.E. is to round and the airfoil does not have a reflex like the construction article state. If any one knows the airfoil used I would like to hear from you. Any info welcome. Frederick van der Merwe |

Did you try the plan service at AMA ? We may have gotten plans there when I was making them. I don't recall technical description of airfoil though.
I built many of them around 1990. Easy building and flying. You could make changes to planform and so on to suit your fancy. I think some versions would be great for electric. Let us know if you build any. |
