Family is "too fat to work"

The Chawners, haven't worked in 11 years, claim their weight is a hereditary condition and the money they receive is insufficient to live on.

Mr Chawner said: "What we get barely covers the bills and puts food on the table. It's not our fault we can't work. We deserve more."
My first response? Go yourself. Diabetes is a dissability, that you caused by being obese. You cannot afford to eat healthy? Not an excuse, eat less. Calories in, calories out.

I want a new conservative party I can vote for. I want a true fiscal conservative who supports science, that doesn't give reach arounds to religious insitutions. Is that so much to ask? Neither party is gonna tell this family to shove it, and they both should.

but why would any american politician want to tell a british family to "shove it"?

and if they did, then under which fat roll would they tell them to shove it?

The one that says "we don't wanna go there" ever...

Those people need help, a change of governmental support policy is a start.

Their life expectancy is probably shorter than most, so the expence will be short lived and its worth it to watch the indignant shouts of hatred from the right.

They do deserve more. Other people have more so they have less, which isn't fair. Thus they do deserve more.

"I'm a student, so I don't have time to exercise."

BS...and the first half of the equation is to watch your intake.

Start your workout light at first, and just do push aways for a week or two, followed by 1/2 hour of brisk walking 3 days a week.

Don't know what push aways are? It's where you push away from the table before you go for that 2nd helping.

It also appears that they eat a substantial amount of processed food, a huge no-no if you're making even a half-hearted attempt to lose weight.

BTW A bacon buttie from the net

That is an infarct waiting to happen.

The whole "too fat to work" is what bothers me. I have a friend who weighs 513 LBS at the moment. He gets up every day, walks to the bus stop, takes the bus to work, walks the rest of the way to work, works a full day as tech support, then comes home and lives his life. These people don't look to be close to that kind of weight.

Whith their form of government, you would think they would provide a personal trainer/nutritionist to watch them and help them lose weight.

Of course they would probably refuse it, at which point you give no aid.

Fact: they CAN lose the weight

I'm concerned that they are being denied enough to meet their needs. They cannot be free without being free of want, as we have been told, and they clearly feel they are not getting what they need. Some other family on the dole is getting more than them, and this means they get less. This must be rectified in a just civil society.

You knwo an easy solution would be to simply go take food money and goods from those that have too much, that would be totally reasonable!

If someone has more than someone else it's obvious that they have benefitted from society more. Taking stuff from them won't hurt them, and since the only way to have more is for someone else to have less, it should be done and given to those with less, to lift them up and make them free.

Here in Washington State we actually had a fat bastard on death row for shooting two ladies to death during a bank robbery. (he got away with $4000)

A judge spared his life because lawyers claimed he was so fat his head may pop off if he was hung. (we used to hang um high here in Washington)

The Fat S.O.B. finally died of liver failure while rotting in his cell.

See, fat can also be GOOD for your life expectancy.
