I am wondering if there is any way to fill the bumbs it has on the wings , does anyone have an idear for this ??

for this seabee im thinking of some watertight compartment for the elevator/rudder servo's made of depron because i know from my other seabee that water will come in.

Retracts times two?

Bart: the answer is "yes!"

If interested, PM me and I will share the concepts and progress once I get the parts in. I am keeping it close to my chest for two reasons:

1. I want to make sure they WORK!
2. If I am pleased with them, I may write an article and submit for publication.

I love KISS solutions (keep it simple, stupid). Some of mine work great, some bomb.

I might be a little late but I made it.
The upgrade that fits this ARF is on the website now.
www.parkflyerplastics.com

The upgrade comes with a protective belly skin to protect the foam from the ground when it's not in the water. (your paint too since it's clear.)
It is made with .030 PETG plastic , the same stuff soda bottles are made with so you know it's tough.

The canopy is made with the same material and is a direct copy of the foam hatch / canopy.
That is to say it fits right over it.
There is enough material to overlap the hatch seam for a better water seal.
This makes the original hatch work as a frame to attach the canopy to the model and retain the original hatch configuration.

The installation is fairly straight forward so no instructions are available.
The plastic is compatible with almost any adhesive or paint .
To be safe use a piece of scrap to do a test.

I have two on the way out right now to some friends to put on their planes.
They will be posting how they installed the parts soon.

Thanks for knocking that out, sparky...having transparent windows will add a lot to this nice little model.

I am in the process of ordering my Seabee tonight!

Thanks Thayer,
You never know with these things, sometimes I can't keep them around. And yet just when you think you have a winner that everyone would want they just sit.
No big deal just more tooling experience.
Tom , Richard has your set.

Sparky's products...

Pretty clever marketing giving me the shipping weight! So, I ordered and weighed. BTW, the shipping was incredibly fast!

The canopy cover, when properly trimmed, should weigh about 28 grams, give or take a gram. (Untrimmed: 35.3 grams.) That 's assuming you would cut out the piece that would cover the rear part of the canopy/hatch. If you kept it in place, it would be about 34 grams all toll.

The bottom protector came in at 45.9 grams, and only will require a little trimming, so, say, 43 grams ready to mount.

Appear to be very nicely done. Not sure I will use them, but now I have the option!
