Very nice really!!
Just a small scale detail...
Cl-415 wears a 4 blades prop. CL-215 wears a 3 blade prop.

I know about the props...Didn't want to experiment with 4-blades at this time
I know the 3-blades will fly it good, after some test flights I may try some 4-blades..but honestly have never run 4-blades so not sure what to expect with the electric setup. I know it may slow the plane down and cause me to fly with more throttle to maintain airspeed vs 2 or 3 blades, causing shorter flight times.

Nice job Brad.

Thanks for the heads up on the models shortcomings. I'll keep them in mind when I get to assembling mine.

So what do you think of the flying qualities?

How do the flaps work?

Checked the CG today and the plane is tail heavy as this point in the build, which is good because I can put the batteries near the nose. This will allow me to remove the batteries through the cockpit for charging. Not having to remove the wing to charge is a big plus.

Nitroplanes CL-415

Looking good Brad! Are you planning on using differential thrust or water rudder for steering?

actually the 11x9 APC (4blades) gives 980W on 6cells and 47Amps.
Of course as you said you shouldn't wait more than 4 minutes of flight!! Thats the reason i changed the setup on mine!!!

Thanks for the link Brad!! a lot of info here on CL-415.I have been crunching numbers in motocalc this morning using electric motors that everyone has installed, can't make up my mind yet.I would like to use 4 blade prop and later install sound system. It will be two weeks before I see my replacement parts.

Kyle, no date set yet for the maiden, too bad you are so far away though.
I'll keep you posted when I'm ready.

I am putting the final touches on the CL 415...

Just adding some scale features, I guess I can't resist.

That looks excellent Brad.

Love the wheels and strut covers. Which Robart strut covers did you get? I'd like to get the same.
