FWIW, my wal-mart bash was about 17oz AUW with a 7-cell AA NiCd pack, Hitec AM receiver, Cirrus 5.4's buried in the fin root and a DD S400 pylon mounted over the back of the wing spinning a Gunther prop.
It had plenty of go, although the airframe is really draggy. The critical thing for me was getting the right amount of dihedral; with the original wing orientation, it looked like a V flying and was tough to turn in any wind. After trimming the wing roots and epoxying the wings together (I had one come out at about 30' AGL) I ended up with too little. I just recently scrapped the model to recover the parts, or I'd post a photo. At least for the wally glider, the CG needs to be much further back than feels right due to the extreme amount of sweep in the wings. |

Power Air Surfer Power System.
I have this from a Hasbro Power Air Surfer to put on a Flying Eagle along with a 2s battery. Is the flying eagle still being made ? Or is there another plane like it available.
