insulfoam from home depot

I was at home depot last week and saw some white foam with a skin on both sides about 9mm thick (insulfoam). A sheet of it 2' by 4' was only $2.33 so I bought a sheet and made the extra 300 from rc powers. Im wondering if anyone has used this stuff and how it compares in weight to epp (9mm). I put a 28 26 1000kv bl outrunner with 10x5 sf (only prop I have at the moment) and a 3s 800mah. It wont go vertical and run times are about two min?! what is wrong? I will switch to a 9x3.8 when I get one but is this foam a lot heavier than epp? If I use a bigger battery than I still won't be able to go vert.. this motor should be strong enough right? nothing is even warm when im done (motor esc or bat)

this foam works well with larger planes. this one in the video is made from multiple sheets of 2in home depot foam stucked together and then hotwire shaped into a plane. remove the plastic skin and cover it with 0.75oz/ft2 FG + minwax.
