New Stuff!
Captains Blog, Stardate 022209.... (ooops)
My son Scott sent me a Cox Fornier RF-5 a few weeks ago and today I hung it up where I can look at it all the time. Don't I have a wonderful son buying me sucha nice gift! |

Otherwise known as the "SportAvia", the name Cox marketed for this plane. Kind of heavy too. Mine would only fly for about two minutes( I have the electric version) If you plan on flying her, and since this plane is about 17 years old, I would replace the guts with the lightest servos and BL motor/Lipo. The older guts are HEAVVVYYYY. New guts will be 3 times lighter and will elongate flight big-time!

And yes, that is Steven Q. Eurkel.... Where is the center (main) landing gear? Did it not come with it? That is a pitfall of having something sent direct without inspecting it. You really should fly that thing dad instead of hanging it up. That breaks my heart. |
