Thanks for compliments and documents, guys ! But, i'm not satisfied with the fuselage. It looks a bit skinny, so i'm building a new chubby one... It'll be ready in one / two days.

Does anyone have some pics or documents about the VA 195 Dambusters AD4 ? The Wombat posted 2 pics of an AD4 and of the squadron insigna (thanks to him !) but i need some docs about the markings (esp. on and under wings) worn by those airplanes... I made some searches, but didn't find anything usefull... Thanks !!!!!!!!!!

They're just "decomissionned"... And cannibalized.

This site shows the planes that were over the dam that day. It shows the starboard underside of the AD and the port underside of the F4U. I assume since they were in the same squadron, they should be marked alike.

Thanks John ! I also found some other pics that confirm they were marked alike... On the under surfaces... Now, what about the wings upper surfaces ? Hope i'll find something helpfull !

Looks like they just had stars & bars on the port upper wing surface, as normal. These aren't great pics but I think you can tell from the one that the upper surfaces only had the one star & bar.

John, i found some videos of this AD4 on you tube : 501 B on the upper surface of the right wing ; star and bars on the left. Lower surfaces marked like the Corsair you described in post #26. This "501B" will be "my" Able Dog

I wondered about that. Sounds good Philippe. Mine will be 501 B with a different serial number.
