Can someone chime in? It looks like a nice safety in my opinion for running two in series.
It is at the 5 min mark
I'm not certain just what kind of safety that Zener diode would provide with the 75 Amp capability of these power supplies. At any rate, what you can do is hook everything up except the Zener diode. Then measure the voltage at the terminals that the Zener diode will be connected to.

These Zener diodes have a band at one end of the case. That band is the positive connection of the Zener diode. Get it backwards, and it becomes a standard silicon diode with a 3/4 Volt drop at low currents. Looking at the video, one end of the Zener diode connects to the power supply chassis, making it the negative end. So the end of the Zener diode that connects to the copper foil should be the end of the Zener diode with the band.

I have read that an over voltage will make the psu go into overload protection.
If i am not wrong that sudden spike will likely blow that diode but also shut down
the psu. The psu with the floating ground is the one with the diode.

Hi
I'm new on this site can anyone help me ?
I have two Dell Z930P-00 and I want to make them to parallel I know the pinout and all about the how to start up each. But what about if I have to use the inside switch and goes on only one and other one is of and output 12V is all ready parallel?
Other questions is about current share is that enough to contact them and a GND ?
And it has to be in both Power supply in a same voltage or not ?

Any one's can help me
Thanks in advance

And I didn't get any answers about how to start up

Does anyone know how i can adjust the Voltage on the HSTNS-PL29 without opening the cover? I think the inside potmeters won't allow for an output voltage of 13.6-13.8V.

Common slot

So far i found no way to adjust the output voltage to 13.6-13.8V without opening the case of the PSU of a common slot server supply. Am i correct?

M1U-2750V or M1U-2650V redundant 1U power supply

I did xandrios's steps to power on M1U-2750V and M1U-2650V PSU successfully.
Both of them are from EMACS.
P/N: B013080022 (M1U-2650V - 650W)
P/N: B013080006 (M1U-2750V - 750W).

- Connect C2 (top center pin at small pin group) to a ground pin (one of four big pins at left side)

However, the fan speed is so high. It's so loud.
I wonder there is a step which can help to find some pins for lowering fan speed.
