Yes, i guess i was the first guy using your OSD from the past 2 years now, many diferent OSDīs have developed since then, but i havenīt saw another one with an HUD like ours, i also improved itīs capability by adding an 4800Bps audio modem(DZL) in the same board for map tracking,...other features have been improved by you since then, Motor currrent, compass, motor voltage, OSD voltage, battery current counter, RSSI and many others that i could tell, the tracking antenna and video telemetry is a good choice and i canīt wait to test it.
Iīve been working on my new autopilot(Ardupilot-home made) and would like to discuss some issues with you but that can wait a little bit more since you havenīt sleep well from the past weeks because of these new improvements ! best regards |

Heh - what a coincidence - I am happy user of Zbig's diversity receiver, two OSD's (AT328 in the works now) and ArduPilot as well. I would be happy to test antenna tracker as well.
All the equipment with Zbig's name on it is really highest quality (despite I solder it by myself and couldnt spoil it this way). Thank you Zbig |

I would also be interested in the tracking antenna. I have one audio channel of my 2,4GHz available to transmit the gps signal. Only lacking GPS device and (de)modulator for the audio signal. I have some mobile computers available for the testing. PM me if interested Zbig.

Iīve implement that solution in my old version, but you are free to implement that solution as well.... after all you have all the data available from Thomas thread at RcCam. |

On your first post you mention that the GPS info is displayed on the ground station. But in your picture of the RX LCD there is no room for GPS info. Do you have a second ground system that displays more information?
I would gladly pay for a bottle of wine just to be able to pick your brain on how certain things were accomplished. |

if I had the equipment available I would probably use a small ARM board or laptop on the ground so I could do whatever with the NMEA stream.
edit: he does not transport the NMEA data in the actual video but mixes the signal in... that's why you don't see any coordinates or so |

1. Diversity info: channel, frequency and RSSI signal from all RF modules 2. GPS info: longitude and latitude (in three formats) 3. Flight info: distance, altitude, speed, course and azimuth. Additional menu options are: -set channel (20 predefined channels) -set frequency of current channel -manual selection of active RF module -OSD (RSSI info on screen) ON/OFF -calibration of RF modules Separate telemetry decoder (working with any AV receiver) has got two info screens: 1. GPS info: longitude and latitude (in three formats) 2. Flight info: distance, altitude, speed, course and azimuth. and folowing menu options: -Azimuth midpoint of tracking antenna -azimuth servo settings: - - reverse - - PPM (80..120% of standard PPM pulse) - - Servo travel angle in degree - - servo test -elevation servo settings: - - reverse - - PPM (80..120% of standard PPM pulse) - - servo test |

After a bit of research this seems like the best system for me. I do have a few general questions.
1) What is the going rate for a bottle of wine in Poland? It would probably be cheaper for me to PayPal you the money rather than sending a couple bottles. 2) Can a 5Hz gps be used? Will the OSD update at 5Hz along with a 5Hz telemetry? 3) Is the OSD configurable? Can additional information like RSSI of the onboard controller RX be displayed? 5) Can the information on the OSD be hidden? No information would be displayed for a clean look while recording? The ground based decoder could be looked at if distance and elevation were unknown. 6) What exactly is displayed on the OSD screen? Can you label your picture so we know what information is available? -Thanks |
