Perfect has long been a maker of some cool stuff for 1/2A planes, Among these are a really cool fuel pump that needs no batteries,
pushrod keepers,
glow plug clip,
C/L bellcranks and flying lines,
1/64 gasket material for making those gaskets between the tank and the crankcase,
ten different size tires under 2" dia,
Engine mounting screws, and more:

Also from Tower hobbies you can get an adapter that uses a standard nicad starter. The adapter does not come with the nicad starter but is partially shown in the picture for reference.

I have one of these and like it --- the lead is longer than shown in the picture. If I'm going to fly several planes, I take the headlite and use it with my igniter. If it's 1/2A only, then I carry the double D cell pack.

Hayes makes a great little 2oz tanks for 1/2A. They have a tiny little stopper and you don't need to bend a tube for the pressure line.

I normally try to keep business out of the forums but after reading some of the posts to this thread I assume it's ok to post a shameless plug. My new website is www.halfa-works.com . I don't have the store front set up yet but hope I can start on doing so sometime this weekend. Items I offer are....

Mangusta DR .049 engine
Cox Skyline F/X .049 racing engine
1/2a TurboHead (uses turbo glowplugs)
Cox 1/2a Needle Nose Spinners-ANODIZED
Cox stock type .020 spinners-ANODIZED
Modified Sure Start .049 based parts
(balanced cranks, High Flow Backplates, Shortened/Lightened pistons etc.)

I am now also a dealer for Merlin Glow Plugs, Inc. and stock their 1/2a Drop in plugs and headclamps. These can also be used in your AP Wasp .061, VA .049's and Norvel .049/.061 and of course ALL Cox 1/2a engines and are a high compression up grade.

Take care,
Tim

Tim, good to see you around. 1/2A guys got to stick together and supporting shops who put their time and energy into keeping us in business with engines, bits and pieces is part of that.

Nice to see you advertising, Tim. Good to know that their are still quality makers out there.

P.S. Duke is very right when he says that 1/2A guys need to support what is left in 1/2A.
