NitroPlanes FanTrainer EDF Static Run and Taxi Test

I tested 2-3s zippy 20-30c 3300 packs in series for 6s 3300.
1280 watts at 58 amps.

Himax 96mm RTR fan/motor combo.

That's pretty cool. Looks a lot like a giant scale uni-jet. That's a wicked sounding fan too. I used to work as an auto mechaninc and when you were throttling it up and down (before the full throttle high rev) reminded me of a pneumatic cut off tool I used to use.

It's a Sony FX-7. Outdoors in the sun it gets amazing images.

Yes, only flown it once so far.. Flew nicely and surprisingly somewhat of a floater.

I hope to get some video soon.

I'd say a "floater" in the "Darn this thing won't quit flying and land" sense (i.e. Spitfire with elyptical wing), not the super light wing loading foamie kind of sense.
