http://www.mountainmodels.com/produc...cf6a4e2bd755e5

Im looking for anyone with first hand experience with these templetes..MY first questions is if they have washout designed into them and also V grade or something like that which I believe refers to the taper of the wing

any help would be great! thks SL

Soarluck,

I own them. I cut some cores and bagged a wing with them recently. I'm assuming they have whatever washout is or is not called in the plans.

There is no geometric washout on the SGII.

Use them all the time , No wash from what i see. you will like them if you dont like sanding temps.

I own them too, but burned up the tip template beyond use. Make sure to sand the edges around the lead in transition for the top tempalte.

I think you will like the Super Gee. I finished my version of it (nowhere near the craftsmanship quality of many guys on this forum) last week.

I've got them too, but havent used them yet. They look very nice but, what did you do with the edges so the wire would not hang up or burn the wood?
Thanks,

I'm really not an expert on well... Anything. But I don't think I run my wire hot enough to burn the wood. I have used plywood templates on a few other planes (I made them myself) as well as these from laser arts.
