After an extensive horizontal stab repair and a Century Jet retract repair, I was itching to fly the Mustang today. Was a little breezy, but she flew very well. The grass is low which helps eliminate the nose over on landing tendency. Was a little too windy to have fun with it, though. Just one takeoff and landing was all we did today. What a great flying aircraft! O.S. 110FSa hauls it around real nice.

My office is in the background, and the airplane I love the most is in the foreground. Shot at The Dalles, Oregon (KDLS Airport). They give rides and lessons in that beautiful old J3. Too bad we were only there for one night, might have been persuaded to plunk down some cash for a cruise around Mt. Hood in that baby...which I have no business flying without a qualified instructor as it's been a very long time...

Today started out as a "Zero/Zero" day until about 1230 when the sun came out and it was 65 degrees in New Jersey for a short time. Brought out the electric Cub to do some scale flying and landings. Did not want to bother with the video today, just wanted to relax and fly - until the clouds started to roll in and the sky turned into one of the most beautiful scenes I can remember. So I got out the Gopro and the FlyCamOneHD and shot some amazing video.

I was thanking God Almighty for such a beautiful afternoon as I did pattern work. THIS is the kind of day that makes me love not only flying, but LIFE in general.

To all you brave Marines out there, happy birthday and thank you for your dedication and service to us all. God Bless!
